WHATS Unique or famous about your hometown
My hometown is host toworlds only main street oil well and worlds largest
wax manufacturing plant, also a lot of the city streets are paved out of
brick from the old days and our population is only 1600 people.Clark Gable
helped pave some of the brick streets also while he lived here and was
employed by the wax plant.
Beer and cheese and sausage.
I am from a small town near pittsburgh, whose only long time
claim to fame is the three stooges, who got their start here at a local
park doing live shows through the summer
I've said this on here before but J K Rowling the creator of
Harry Potter novels was born in my home town.Yate, ( same hospital as me).
So I guess that is something to be proud of.

My hometown is Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are famous for 5
Stanley Cup (Ice Hockey) Championships in 6 years, also hockey legend Mark
Messier, & others like Ryan Smith & Fernando Pisani. The greatest hockey
player that ever lived, Wayne Gretzky, also set the majority of his
records while playing for the Edmonton Oilers. Also our football team
(CFL) has only missed the playoffs once in 33 years, holds the record for
most Grey Cup championships, & NFL quarterback Warren Moon (ret.) began his career there, led our team to a record 5 consecutive Grey Cup Championships, before he went to the Houston Oilers, & I believe he is in the NFL hall of fame.
My hometown is Missoula, Montana. While exploring the
northwest, Lewis & Clark made their way passes through the area. Missoula
is also HQ for the National Forest Service is Smoke Jumpers. For those of
you who don't know, the Smoke Jumpers parachute in to fight wild fires in
remote areas. As well as assist with major forest fires. They are the
special forces of firefighting.
Sarasota Florida. We have the John Ringling museum and the
Ringling art school. Both founded by John Ringling of the Ringling
Brothers & Clyde Beatty Circus.

I am from Perth. I don't know what our city is famous for apart
from being the ''dead'' city, but WA is famous currently for the mining
boom that is making our state rich.
The view from my deck shows a George Washington crossing, a
battle for the freedom of America, and the start of worker is rights and
unionization in America, in addition to a mysterious plane that went down
in the river, never found. I contemplate it all as I look out.
Gorton is (frozen fish) and the movie The Perfect Storm.
I am from Napier, New Zealand originally, and we are famous for
our Art Deco buildings and architecture.
For those who don't know about Art Deco, it was a style of buildings back
in the 1930 is - very cool - and people come from miles and miles away to
see them. We also have a thing we call Art Deco weekend every year where
everyone dresses up in '30 is clothes and driving all the vintage cars. It is pretty cool!
