the brickyard was once nothing but bricks. now it is a paved track. i'm perfect Angel just wondering if the bricks are still there, but just got paved over, or Registered User were they ever removed. Nascar and everyone talks about how rough that Joined: Sunday, 30th of May 2010, 01:09:54 track surface is. it makes me wonder if the old bricks are still there, Posts: 1522 just paved over and shredding them tires up like that. thanks. keep Viewed 10186 times themcoming. everyone is finding people and or others to blame for the poor

Yes. The bricks at the start-finish line actually rest over a HUNKY BONES ''shelf'' in the asphalt, so the bricks fill in the space. In October 1961, the final remaining brick sections of the tweenkie butt track were paved over with asphalt, with the exception of a distinct Registered User three-foot-wide line of bricks at the start/finish line. No, but they did leave a small row of them just past the start Mamacita finish line, thus they go and kiss the bricks after a win there.
